is a published author, an award-winning producer and director, and President of HBR Production Company,
a film and video production company located in Hoboken, New Jersey. Bensimon works in a wide range of genres spanning from
feature film to animation and has produced and directed hundreds of health, social, and educational programs in both English
and Spanish. Bensimon has been the recipient of several awards including:
- Most Inspirational Award by Doc Miami International Film Festival for the recent Documentary Celebrating Life in Union, narrated by actor Andy Garcia
- Best Documentary Award by the Hoboken International Film Festival for the documentary Crossing Our Borders, narrated by Maria Conchita Alonso
- Media Award in TV Documentary from the National Commission of Abuse and Exploited Children for the documentary "Domestic Violence and the Legal Process"
- Honorable Mention from the National Media Award for Family programming for "Silent Victims Speak", the three-part educational series.
Bensimon has also been the recipient of several grants including grants from the United States Justice Department, United Way Innovated Grant, and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. For the past five years, Bensimon has served as a volunteer judge for the New York Emmy Awards for feature documentaries and news programming, in both English and Spanish.
Bensimon earned a Masters Degree of Art in Media Studies from the New School University in New York City, and Bachelors of Art Degree in Mass Media and Television from the Catholic University of Caracas, Venezuela.
