AIDS and Hope is an independently produced half-hour documentary about three men and three women, mostly minorities, who find tout hey are infected with HIV/AIDS while incarcerated in U.S. prisons. Their testimonies bring us portraits of their painful ordeal, discovering the hard truth about their medical diagnosis as HIV/AIDS-positive, and how they coped both inside the penitentiary system, and also \'outside\', as the news reaches loved ones. AIDS and Hope is a hard look on notoriously corrupt U.S. prison-system and instead proposes rehabilitation for low-level offenders, saving thousands of dollars to tax payers while helping individuals to regain their lives.
